Moving from Blogger to Wordpress

I have been doing some research as Blogger outages and some simple missing features are frustrating me, I have decided to move to WordPress. I have to import all my old posts and also modify it's layout so that this becomes seamless. This should not take too long but that may mean Zogworld will go down for a few days. WHEN exactly this is happening?? I am not sure - maybe even today! I know be excited, call your relatives, start an internet campaign!

UPDATE: This took 3 attempts to publish and 2 attempts to edit. Only to have it publish twice. SEE, That's why I wanna move on.

The Great Pumpkin

As mentioned, we won a giant pumpkin yesterday. We are talking 65lbs. This afternoon we undertook the task of carving it into a jack-o-lantern. Just to give you an idea of the size, here is my son sitting on it



I worked to dig out about 20 pounds worth of "guts". It was a sticky, icky mess.



Here is the end result. With a pumpkin that big I decided to go for the traditional jack-o-lantern triangle face.

MerryMead Farm Harvest Festival

Yesterday my family and I rolled down to MerryMead farm, the local dairy/farm, for their Harvest fest, even with the suspect weather. Originally we were going to go to the Amazing Maze but do to a last minute cancellation, this seemed like too much. We made the best of things though and headed to MerryMead.

They had a Corn Tunnel, animal area, yummy food ( apple with drizzled caramel and whipped cream) and the basis of our trip - the 5 Acre Corn Maze. We entered the maze at 4pm sharp.



45 minutes later - we conquered the maze. We were quite successful.



In the maze you had to find 8 questions, which we found them all! As a result we were entered into a contest for a free Christmas tree.

After the maze, we headed over to the Harvest Launch. This is where they have slingshots set up and at this farm you launch apples at their targets; theirs were a target and a bathub. If you get it on the target, you get a small pumpkin, in the bathub - a large pumpkin. Guess who got it in the bathtub. YEAH!! That's one big pumpkin - 65 pounds big!!



An excellent time was had by all and it was a very nice way to spend my official birthday. Check out the pictures from the Harvest Fest

And last night I had the very nice honor of having a large group of my family and friends join me at the Victory Brew Pub in Downingtown, PA. It was fantastic! The food was good and the beer was better!

Red Sox win - apocalypse coming

I am not a sports fan ( Didn't the Red Sox win by a touchdown last night) but even I know this was important.

Congrats to the Red Sox! What a time to be a fan of New England teams with the Red Sox and Patriots.

This year's pumpkins

We carved pumpkins last night and had a great time. I did up a 37 pounder this year. It is the biggest pumpkin I have ever carved.
